VP Change Management, SGI (Silicon Graphics, Inc) (9/00-8/2003)
Currently leads mutiple, global project teams responsible for monitoring and driving business process improvements for significant cost savings and efficiency. Includes business processes for manufacturing/supply chain, finance and customer operations as well as the implementation of a new global ERP system, a global sales quoting and funnel reporting tool and several projects to increase sales rep efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Results: Successfully completed global ERP within 9 months. Led the design of 141 global business processes and implementation of Oracle 11I in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Included replacement of 29 different versions of ERP systems and over 200 integrated applications which needed to be replaced or discontinued. Managed all internal change management activities and project communication worldwide. Completed North America sales tool implemenation, several countries in Europe and Asia Pacific. Delivered several sales efficiency improvements and developed and launched the company’s first Technical User Group and conference.

Oversee all media and outreach strategies for Staffing and Community, as well as staffing processes, metrics and tools. Includes alternate workforce and temporary workforce services and the integration of philanthropic and recruitment activities.

Managed the Community Relations department for this fortune 500 company: Develop and implement corporate contribution policies and programs and develop and implement strategies to promote employee volunteerism. Coordinate human, technical and financial resources with our community partners, evaluate the impact of contributions, and manage education initiatives throughout the U.S.
Trustee, Fremont Unified School District (Elected Nov ’90, reelected Nov ’94)
Served as Board President first and fourth year. Responsible for governance of a 42 school, 30,000 student, $120 million district; one of five trustees. Duties included but not limited to: establishing budget priorities, setting mission/ strategies, hire/ appraise/ manage Superintendent of Schools. Frequently represent the district on sensitive public relations issues, and union negotiations involving various media and the community. Also involves state and federal level legislative advocacy. Served as President of Alameda County School Boards 1995-96.
Political Consultant, Tramutola Company (11/95-11/96)
Provided political campaign consulting services to public service clients. Primarily responsible for local Bond Issue and Parcel Tax campaigns supporting California schools. Made presentations to prospective clients, established and managed relationships with client base, developed and delivered field training programs, provided support and guidance in developing Facilities Plans and provided general campaign management expertise to clients. Seven of seven campaigns were successful.

Identified and implemented problem resolution strategies for Finance and Manufacturing. Recruited for key positions. Developed immigration procedure and EEO course for the division. Presented all management training courses and hired and trained employment administrators for the department. Designed and implemented employment processes, including applicant flow systems, requisition reports and advertising.

Recruited key Engineering and Manufacturing candidates. Responsible for international packaging group, requiring enhanced research skills. Screened, interviewed, presented and closed candidates and held supervisory responsibility.

Field Director, 1992-for Presidential, Senate and Congressional Races
Southern Alameda County. Managed three offices, a staff of twelve direct reports (including phone bank supervisors and precinct organizers). Through telephone and walk program, contacted over 58,000 and identified 28,000 supporters. On election day, our Southern Alameda County Field Team met or exceeded all goals established for the campaign.
